Senior Legal Counsel – Contracts

About the role

The Senior Legal Counsel – Contracts provides dedicated legal support to functional departments within Jazz, offering consultation, advice, contract review and negotiation in line with internal policies and applicable law. The role balances day‑to‑day operational tasks with strategic initiatives, collaborating with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Draft, review and negotiate contracts independently, engaging with internal stakeholders and counterparties.
• Provide legal assistance that aligns with business context and needs.
• Offer legal opinions on commercial arrangements and industry‑related matters.
• Identify when specialist legal support is required and obtain it efficiently.
• Conduct training on legal developments, contract management, and relevant policies.
• Advise on new strategic initiatives, investments, and business lines.
• Support AML, CTF, export controls, sanctions, data protection, anti‑bribery and anti‑corruption compliance.
• Apply legal expertise to digital financial services.
• Manage day‑to‑day affairs of the contracts section in a digitized manner.
• Collaborate with governance and policy teams on contract‑related matters.
• Standardise contract flow processes and support cross‑functional projects such as M&A.

Required profile

• Senior‑level legal professional with extensive experience in contract law.
• Proven ability to work independently and make decisive decisions.
• Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills.
• Experience in regulatory compliance areas such as AML, CTF, export controls and data protection.
