Senior Medical Officer – Pediatrics (PGR Resident)

About the role

Naeem Hospital is seeking a dedicated Senior Medical Officer / PGR Resident to strengthen its Pediatrics Department at the Punjab Society, Ghazi Road location. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive clinical care to newborns, infants, children and adolescents across OPD, emergency, nursery and inpatient settings.

Key responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose and manage pediatric patients in OPD, emergency, nursery and inpatient units.
• Deliver evidence‑based medical care for newborns, infants, children and adolescents.
• Assist consultants during rounds, procedures and emergency interventions.
• Monitor patient progress, maintain accurate records and ensure continuity of care.
• Coordinate with consultants, nursing staff and other departments for holistic patient management.
• Respond promptly to pediatric emergencies and stabilize critically ill patients.
• Provide counseling to parents and caregivers on treatment plans, vaccinations, nutrition and preventive health.
• Participate in departmental meetings, clinical discussions and CME activities.

Required profile

• MBBS degree from a recognized institution.
• Valid PMC/PMDC registration.
• PGR Resident (Pediatrics) enrolled in a recognized training program, or a Senior Medical Officer with 2–3 years of pediatric experience.
• Proven experience managing pediatric OPD, emergency, nursery and inpatient cases.
• Strong clinical assessment, diagnostic and decision‑making abilities.
• Excellent communication and patient counseling skills.
• Willingness to work rotational shifts, night duties and emergency calls.
