Senior Network Engineer

About the role

The Senior Network Engineer will design, implement, secure and maintain the organization’s network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and optimal performance across all business operations. This role involves hands‑on work with LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches and firewalls, as well as collaboration with ISPs, vendors and internal teams.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure and maintain LAN, WAN, Wi‑Fi, routers, switches, firewalls and related network equipment.
• Monitor network performance and availability, troubleshoot connectivity issues and optimise performance.
• Implement and enforce network security measures, ensuring system availability and data protection.
• Coordinate with ISPs, vendors and internal stakeholders for network support and upgrades.
• Perform routine maintenance, upgrades and system monitoring.
• Maintain accurate network documentation, configurations and standard operating procedures.
• Provide technical support to end‑users and resolve network‑related incidents.
• Assist in developing network security policies and backup connectivity solutions.

Required profile

• 3–4 years of experience as a Network Engineer or Network Administrator.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering or a related field.

Required skills

• Hands‑on experience with Cisco, Fortinet, MikroTik, HP Aruba or equivalent equipment.
• Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, routing, switching, firewalls and wireless networking.
• Understanding of network security principles and best practices.
• Proficiency in network monitoring, troubleshooting and performance optimisation.
