Senior Officer - Oracle Developer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Officer specialized in Oracle development to join our team in Karachi. The role focuses on designing, building, and maintaining core applications for Insurance, Takaful, and Business Intelligence domains.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and enhance Oracle‑based Insurance, Takaful, and BI applications.
• Analyze business and functional requirements to create technical solutions.
• Customize applications using Oracle Forms Builder, Oracle Reports Builder, PL/SQL, and APEX.
• Create and maintain reports, database objects, and application modules.
• Ensure system reliability, data integrity, and performance optimization.
• Troubleshoot issues, provide technical support, and perform testing and debugging.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement improvements.
• Document technical specifications and support deployment activities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 2–3 years of experience in Oracle application development and support.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality deliverables.

Required skills

• Oracle Database versions 9i, 10g, 11g, 12c, 19c.
• Oracle Forms Builder and Oracle Reports Builder.
• PL/SQL Developer, Oracle APEX, Jasper Reports.
• SQL and PL/SQL programming.
• Database design, query optimization, performance tuning.
