Senior Risk Manager

About the role

The Senior Risk Manager will lead the design, implementation, and administration of the company’s insurance and risk‑financing strategy for a growing multi‑state commercial real‑estate portfolio. This role coordinates insurance brokers, captive managers, actuaries, reinsurers, legal counsel, auditors, lenders and internal operations teams.

Key responsibilities

• Manage all commercial insurance programs, renewals, policy reviews and premium monitoring.
• Support captive insurance formation, feasibility studies, actuarial and reserve analyses, and regulatory filings.
• Oversee property and liability claims, coordinate with TPAs and adjusters, and monitor claim trends and reserves.
• Analyze loss data, recommend deductible and retention strategies, and monitor self‑insured reserves.
• Design and coordinate reinsurance structures, renewals, catastrophe exposure monitoring and recoverable reviews.
• Maintain property exposure data, statement of values, total insured values and catastrophe modeling information.
• Ensure lender insurance compliance, manage mortgagee schedules and certify policy adherence.
• Prepare quarterly reporting dashboards covering premiums, claims activity, loss ratios, captive performance and reinsurance utilization.

Required profile

• 7+ years of experience in commercial insurance, risk management or underwriting.
• 3+ years managing property and casualty insurance programs.
• Bachelor’s degree in Risk Management, Finance, Accounting, Insurance, Business Administration or related field.
