Senior Software Engineer & Architect

About the role

Khired Networks is seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Architect to lead and contribute hands‑on to its core platform. The role blends technical ownership with team leadership in a fast‑moving startup environment.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, evolve, and maintain core components of the platform using Ruby on Rails.
• Ensure technical quality, performance, and scalability of production systems.
• Lead, mentor, and set standards for a Ruby on Rails development team.
• Review code, enforce clean‑code practices, testing, and security guidelines.
• Collaborate directly with founders to translate product ideas into shipped features.
• Balance speed and quality within an Agile development process.
• Help shape engineering processes as the company scales.

Required profile

• 10+ years overall software development experience.
• 7+ years of hands‑on Ruby on Rails experience (or strong ability to learn quickly).
• Proven track record building and operating production systems.
• Demonstrated leadership, management, and mentorship capabilities.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with founders and non‑technical stakeholders.
• Adaptability to a startup’s fast‑changing environment and strong problem‑solving mindset.
