Senior Software Engineer - Node

About the role

Creative Chaos is looking for a Senior Software Engineer specialized in Node.js to design, develop, and maintain robust server‑side applications and RESTful APIs for various platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze business requirements and estimate tasks.
• Write clean code, unit tests, and ensure at least 90% test coverage.
• Collaborate with team members, mentor junior engineers, and lead a development team.
• Optimize code for security, performance, and scalability.
• Maintain systems, fix issues, and keep issue‑tracking tools updated.
• Communicate progress to clients and provide status updates.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• 3‑5 years of professional experience with JavaScript and Node.js.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Required skills

• Node.js with frameworks such as Express.js and NestJS.
• Design and implementation of RESTful APIs.
• Experience with relational (MySQL, PostgreSQL) and schemaless (MongoDB) databases.
• Unit testing and achieving high test coverage.
• Version control (GitHub) and project management tools (JIRA).
