Senior Technical Project Manager

About the role

NorthBay is seeking a Senior Technical Project Manager to lead multiple cross‑regional software development teams from concept through delivery. You will translate customer specifications into actionable tasks, ensure high‑quality deliverables, and maintain strong client relationships.

Key responsibilities

• Define and manage project scope, budget, timeline, and quality standards.
• Break down customer requirements into clear tasks and schedules for development, QA, and design teams.
• Monitor progress, produce detailed status reports, and drive continuous improvement in code quality and delivery efficiency.
• Communicate proactively with clients and internal stakeholders, set expectations, and handle escalations.
• Lead remote teams using collaboration tools such as Skype, Zoom, and Google Docs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering.
• 10‑14 years of IT management experience, including hands‑on development.
• 5+ years of software development experience in any programming language.
• Proven track record of delivering at least two full technical projects from scoping to completion.
• Strong analytical and risk‑assessment abilities, with familiarity with ISMS policies.

Required skills

• Agile project development methodology.
• SDLC and SLA processes.
• Amazon Web Services (AWS) – desired.
• Test‑Driven Development (TDD) – desired.
• Big Data project delivery on cloud infrastructure – a plus.
• Project management tools (e.g., Jira, MS Project).
