Senior Web Developer

About the role

Abacus is looking for an experienced Senior Web Developer to join its engineering team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining a range of web platforms, from customer‑facing portals to internal tools and API developer portals.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain the Chenosis.IO customer portal and related marketing pages, landing pages, and microsites.
• Create custom web applications for special events such as hackathons and conferences.
• Build and support internal reporting dashboards and operational portals.
• Develop and maintain the API Developer Portal for external developers.
• Enhance the Support Portal to streamline ticketing and customer support workflows.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to deliver end‑to‑end features.
• Conduct code reviews, mentor junior developers, and lead front‑end architecture decisions.
• Ensure cross‑browser compatibility, performance optimisation, and responsive design.
• Participate in agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, stand‑ups, and retrospectives.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of professional web development experience in a product or technology company.
• Self‑driven professional with a passion for building scalable, polished web experiences.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills, able to work closely with cross‑functional teams.
