SEO Manager – German Market & AI Focus

About the role

We are seeking a senior SEO Manager to lead and scale SEO initiatives across regional and e‑commerce projects, with a strong focus on the German market and AI‑driven content workflows. The role combines strategic planning, hands‑on execution, and leadership development toward a future SEO Director position.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and scale SEO strategies for regional and e‑commerce sites.
• Build and optimise AI‑supported workflows for content creation, research, analysis and automation.
• Create high‑quality German‑language blog content using modern AI tools.
• Design and execute a sustainable, quality‑focused backlink strategy.
• Conduct technical SEO audits, on‑page optimisation, and Core Web Vitals improvements.
• Perform keyword research, competitor analysis and identify new organic growth opportunities.
• Manage freelancers, agencies and content creators.
• Report SEO performance to management with clear KPIs and actionable recommendations.

Required profile

• Several years of proven SEO experience, preferably with success in the German market.
• Strong knowledge of AI‑supported SEO tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity, Custom GPTs and AI Search Optimization.
• Experience in local/regional SEO (Google Business Profile, local citations, regional content).
• Experience in e‑commerce SEO (category pages, product pages, faceted navigation, structured data, index control).
• Understanding of modern backlink tactics (Digital PR, linkable assets, broken‑link building).
• Proficient with SEO tools like Sistrix, Ahrefs, Semrush, Screaming Frog, Google Search Console and GA4.
• Independent, structured, result‑oriented working style.
• Business‑fluent German and good English skills.
