Smart Glasses Researcher/Engineer

About the role

Devnova is seeking a full‑time Smart Glasses Researcher/Engineer to join its Lahore team. The role combines technical research, hardware prototyping and software development to create innovative wearable AR solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct technical research on components, sensors, optics and display technologies for smart glasses.
• Identify and evaluate suppliers, obtain prototypes and verify they meet product requirements.
• Develop and optimise firmware or software modules and integrate them into functional prototypes.
• Collaborate with designers and engineers to refine specifications and run usability experiments.
• Document test results, technical specifications and experimental findings.
• Support troubleshooting, performance tuning and continuous improvement of existing prototypes.

Required profile

• Strong background in electronics or embedded systems with experience in microcontrollers and hardware prototyping.
• Knowledge of optics, display technologies and AR/VR concepts, plus interest in human‑computer interaction for wearables.
• Experience designing experiments, collecting data and analysing prototype performance.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment, collaborate across functions and communicate technical ideas clearly.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Mechatronics or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Prior work on wearable devices or smart glasses is a plus.
