Software Engineer - Backend (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Backend Software Engineer to join our client’s team on a contract basis. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable backend systems that power high‑performance applications for a global user base. You will work remotely, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to deliver robust APIs and data pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and deploy robust backend services using modern frameworks and tools.
• Optimize system performance, scalability, and reliability for global users.
• Write clean, maintainable, and well‑documented code following best practices.
• Debug and resolve issues in production environments with a focus on uptime.
• Participate in code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions.

Required profile

• Proficiency in backend programming languages such as Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API development and integration.
• Strong understanding of relational (SQL) and non‑relational (NoSQL) databases and query optimization.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and version control systems like Git.
