Software Engineer – E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated Software Engineer to join a leading e‑commerce technology team. The position is fully remote and ideal for new graduates eager to build scalable backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain high‑performance backend services in a distributed environment.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code following industry best practices.
• Profile and optimise system performance, debugging issues and improving algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to ship features quickly.

Required profile

• Recent graduate or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a cross‑functional remote team.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges in a fast‑paced environment.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience or familiarity with distributed systems, microservices, and cloud‑native development.
• Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Understanding of data structures, algorithms, and system design principles.
• Experience with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.
