Software Engineer - E-Commerce (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Software Engineer to join a leading technology company working on high‑traffic e‑commerce platforms. The position is fully remote and focuses on building scalable backend services that power real‑time user experiences for millions of customers worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain distributed backend services using modern languages and frameworks.
• Write clean, efficient, and well‑tested code following industry best practices.
• Profile and optimise system performance, fixing bottlenecks and improving algorithms.
• Participate in code reviews, architectural discussions, and technical design sessions.
• Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and fellow engineers to deliver features on schedule.

Required profile

• New‑grad or early‑career professional with a strong foundation in computer science.
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment while contributing to a cross‑functional team.
• Passion for solving complex technical challenges at scale.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Go, Python, or Java.
• Experience or academic exposure to distributed systems, microservices, or cloud‑native development.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases and performance tuning.
• Knowledge of version control (Git) and CI/CD pipelines.
