Software Engineer - FinTech (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading financial services company’s FinTech platform. The role is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining scalable backend services that process real‑time financial transactions for millions of users worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise backend services for high‑volume financial transaction processing.
• Integrate third‑party financial APIs and payment gateways in collaboration with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement security controls to meet financial regulations and data‑privacy standards.
• Write clean, maintainable code and conduct code reviews following engineering best practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues to minimise downtime and ensure system reliability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in backend development using Java, Python or Go.
• Background with financial transaction systems, payment processing or related domains.
• Strong understanding of distributed systems, microservices architecture and API design.
• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases such as PostgreSQL, MySQL or MongoDB.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP or Azure) and container orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
