Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a Software Engineer to join a leading global data‑infrastructure company. In this fully remote, full‑time position you will design, develop, and maintain scalable platforms that ingest and analyse large human‑generated data sets, supporting both real‑time and batch processing workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines that handle high‑volume human‑generated datasets.
• Develop and maintain backend services for real‑time and batch data processing.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and usability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance, and security.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
• Experience working with distributed systems and large‑scale data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with cloud‑based data platforms and best practices for data governance, security, and compliance.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, or comparable distributed processing technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure for data infrastructure.
• SQL and NoSQL database expertise.
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
