Software Engineer – Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a leading data‑infrastructure team. The role focuses on building and maintaining scalable platforms that ingest, process, and analyse large human‑generated data sets. You will work remotely with a globally distributed group of engineers, data scientists, and analysts.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimise data pipelines for both real‑time and batch processing.
• Develop and maintain backend services that support high‑throughput data flows.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity, accessibility, and usability.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance, and security.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Python, Java, or Go for backend development.
• Experience with distributed systems such as Kafka, Spark, or comparable technologies.
• Hands‑on knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure) for data infrastructure.
• Familiarity with both SQL and NoSQL databases for storage and retrieval.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.
