Software Engineer - Human Data Platforms (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for a Software Engineer to join a global leader in data infrastructure and analytics. The position is fully remote and focuses on building and maintaining scalable platforms that process human‑generated datasets.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and optimise data pipelines for real‑time and batch processing.
• Build and maintain backend services that support large‑scale data workloads.
• Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to ensure data integrity and accessibility.
• Implement monitoring, logging, and alerting to guarantee platform reliability.
• Contribute to architectural decisions that improve scalability, performance, and security.

Required profile

• Strong problem‑solving abilities and attention to detail when debugging complex systems.
• Experience working with distributed systems and cloud‑based data infrastructure.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and compliance best practices.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Python, Java, or Go.
• Experience with Kafka, Spark, or similar distributed technologies.
• Knowledge of AWS, GCP, or Azure.
• Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases.
• Containerisation and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes.
