Software Quality Assurance Intern

About the role

This is an internship for a software quality assurance (SQA) trainee. You will join feature discussions, learn how projects work, help write and run tests, log bugs and work closely with developers and the product team.

Key responsibilities

• Join requirement discussions to understand what a new feature does and who it is for.
• Learn how each project works, including how modules connect (for example, how a lead becomes a deal and then an invoice).
• Help write test cases for new and existing features and run them.
• Test the platform to find anything broken, confusing or visually off.
• Log bugs in Jira with clear steps so developers can reproduce them.
• Re-test fixes and check that nothing else broke.
• Work with developers and the product team, taking part in daily stand-ups and sprint meetings.
• Explain issues simply to the team, depending on who you are talking to.
• Keep test cases and test reports documented and up to date.
• Suggest better ways to test as you learn the products.
• Use AI tools (such as ChatGPT, Claude or GitHub Copilot) to draft test cases, generate test data and turn notes into bug reports, then review and fix what the AI gets wrong.
• Test AI features, such as checking that AI-generated answers, summaries or suggestions are accurate and safe.
• Get hands-on with test automation as you grow in the role, with AI helping write and fix scripts faster.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, IT or a related field; final-year students and fresh graduates are welcome.
• Basic understanding of how software is built and what QA is about.
• Strong attention to detail and good problem-solving skills.
• Asks questions instead of making assumptions when things are unclear.
• Curious about AI and comfortable using AI tools in daily work.
