Solution Architect & Development Team Lead – React/Node.js/SaaS Architecture

About the role

We are looking for a Solution Architect who will also lead our small development team. You will design end‑to‑end solutions and stay hands‑on to build them, ensuring high‑quality delivery across SaaS and web projects.

Key responsibilities

• Propose and document architecture for new features and products, including multi‑tenant SaaS platforms.
• Write and review production code in React and Node.js while guiding the team.
• Lead and mentor a Senior Software Engineer and a Junior Developer, setting technical direction.
• Make decisions on stack, tooling, and system design trade‑offs and own those choices.
• Collaborate with the Technical Project Manager to scope, estimate, and sequence work across concurrent projects.
• Define code‑review standards and maintain the overall technical quality of the team’s output.
• Take ownership of issues beyond your immediate tickets to ensure successful releases.

Required profile

• 7+ years of software development experience (10+ years ideal) with proven solution‑architect or technical‑leadership experience.
• Background in a well‑known Pakistani software house.
• Continued hands‑on development focus; enjoys coding daily.
• Strong expertise in React and Node.js.
• Experience designing SaaS‑style, multi‑tenant or multi‑client web solutions.
• Comfortable owning both frontend and backend architecture decisions.
• Familiarity with modern tooling such as Sanity, Vercel, Supabase, Cursor, GitHub; openness to AI‑assisted tools.
• Track record of mentoring developers and an outcomes‑first mindset.
• Excellent communication skills, including with non‑technical stakeholders.
