SQA Engineer – Software Quality Assurance

About the role

The SQA Engineer will ensure that software releases meet high quality standards by designing, implementing, and maintaining automated and manual test solutions. Working within an Agile Scrum team, you will collaborate closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders throughout the two‑week sprint cycle.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in sprint planning, review requirements and specifications, and define test coverage.
• Design, develop, and maintain automated test frameworks and convert manual regression scenarios into automated tests.
• Create detailed, well‑structured test plans, test cases, and execute functional and non‑functional testing.
• Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines and ensure reliable execution.
• Track, document, and troubleshoot defects, providing clear reproduction steps.
• Estimate, prioritize, and coordinate testing activities across the SDLC.
• Collaborate with the development team to resolve issues and improve product quality.

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or a related field.
• 1–2 years of experience in manual QA with basic automation knowledge.
• Strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and problem‑solving abilities.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least one programming language: JavaScript, Java or Python.
• Experience with Rest Assured framework and API testing.
• Knowledge of software QA methodologies, testing types, and tools.
• Familiarity with CI/CD environments and Agile Scrum processes.
• Use of project tracking tools for test management and defect tracking.
