Strategic Buyer – Procurement & Supplier Management

About the role

The Buyer will lead strategic sourcing for assigned categories, developing and executing category strategies to optimise cost, risk and supply continuity. This role involves supplier relationship management, contract negotiation and performance improvement.

Key responsibilities

• Rationalise the supplier base for local or global categories based on market analysis to achieve optimal pricing and reduced lead times.
• Develop business cases and execute sourcing decisions, including risk assessments and opportunity identification.
• Negotiate contracts covering cost, terms, service and quality with key suppliers.
• Drive process improvements and change initiatives for long‑term enterprise benefits.
• Assess risks for assigned categories, implement mitigation plans and ensure business continuity.
• Manage supplier performance through effective relationship and contract management.
• Engage cross‑functional stakeholders, present risks and innovative supply‑chain solutions.

Required profile

• 2‑5 years of procurement experience.
• Relevant degree in supply chain, finance or related technical fields.
• CIPS, CSCP or similar accreditation preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency with SAP MM module.
• Experience using ARIBA procurement platform.
