Supply Chain Associate Manager – Import Compliance

About the role

ASTO Life Sciences is seeking an Associate Manager to oversee end‑to‑end import processes, ensuring seamless supply chain operations for imported goods while maintaining strict compliance with customs regulations and international trade laws.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute the complete import process, ensuring full compliance with customs regulations and documentation standards.
• Classify goods accurately using Harmonized System (HS) codes and apply relevant international trade laws.
• Collaborate with customs brokers, freight forwarders and logistics partners to streamline imports and resolve operational challenges.
• Monitor and control inventory levels of imported goods to reduce discrepancies and improve supply reliability.
• Prepare, review and verify import documentation such as bills of lading, commercial invoices, packing lists and customs declarations.
• Analyse import activities, generate reports and identify opportunities for cost reduction and process improvement.

Required profile

• Minimum five years of experience in supply chain, logistics or import compliance roles.
• Proven ability to work closely with procurement, warehouse and finance teams to ensure transparent communication of import schedules and documentation.
• Strong attention to regulatory updates and ability to support audits and compliance reviews.

Required skills

• HS code classification and customs compliance.
• Import documentation preparation and verification.
• Inventory control for imported stock.
