Support Engineer – .NET

About the role

Albi, a fast‑growing SaaS company, is looking for a Support Engineer to join its Karachi‑based team. This entry‑level engineering role works closely with Support Specialists and senior engineers to troubleshoot, fix, and resolve customer‑reported technical issues on production systems.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with Support Specialists to investigate, diagnose, and resolve technical issues reported by customers.
• Analyze application behavior, logs, and data to identify root causes.
• Implement code fixes in .NET‑based applications for low‑to‑medium complexity problems.
• Write and execute SQL queries, including safe bulk updates/inserts, to correct data issues.
• Reproduce issues in lower environments, validate fixes, and oversee deployment.
• Own support cases end‑to‑end, ensuring timely communication and post‑fix validation.
• Escalate high‑risk or complex issues to senior engineers with clear analysis.
• Collaborate with engineering and QA teams to test and release fixes.
• Document fixes, root causes, and preventive steps in internal knowledge bases.
• Participate in shift handovers for continuity across time zones.

Required profile

• 2+ years of professional experience in technical support, application support, or software engineering.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a sense of ownership.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).

• .NET / C# development and debugging
• SQL query writing and data manipulation
• REST API troubleshooting (nice to have)
• CI/CD pipeline familiarity (nice to have)
• Ticketing systems such as Zendesk, Jira, Freshdesk (nice to have)
