System & Network Administrator

About the role

The System & Network Administrator will manage and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure, ensuring high performance, security, and availability of servers, virtual environments, and network services. This role supports business continuity through proactive monitoring, troubleshooting, and implementation of best‑practice solutions.

Key responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain VMware vSphere environments (ESXi, vCenter Server).
• Deploy and manage Windows servers, Microsoft SQL Server, and core business applications.
• Monitor system performance, capacity, and availability; perform tuning and optimization.
• Administer user accounts, permissions, and access controls via Active Directory/LDAP.
• Apply regular updates, patches, and upgrades; manage backup and disaster‑recovery solutions.
• Configure, manage, and support LAN, WAN, VPN, and wireless networks.
• Maintain routers, switches, firewalls, and access points; monitor network performance and security.
• Implement network segmentation, routing, and switching policies.
• Enforce security policies, manage firewalls, antivirus/EDR, IDS/IPS, and endpoint protection.
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis, and compliance activities.
• Support IT projects, infrastructure upgrades, and ensure high availability of critical systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field.
• 3–5 years of system and/or network administration experience in a reputable organization.
• Relevant certifications such as MCSA/MCSE, Azure, CCNA/CCNP, Network+, Security+, or VCP are desirable.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities; collaborative team player.
