Tax Accountant

About the role

We are looking for a detail‑oriented Tax Accountant to join our finance team in Karachi. The role is full‑time and on‑site, focusing on managing all tax‑related activities and ensuring compliance with Pakistani tax legislation.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, review and file corporate tax returns in a timely manner.
• Analyse financial statements to identify tax implications and optimise tax positions.
• Maintain accurate tax records, supporting documentation and schedules.
• Monitor changes in tax laws and advise management on planning opportunities.
• Assist internal and external auditors on tax‑related matters.
• Collaborate with accounting and finance teams to reconcile accounts and ensure timely tax payments.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field; professional certifications (ACCA, CA, CMA) are a plus.
• Proven experience in tax accounting or corporate taxation, preferably in an industrial or services environment.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and numerical abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work full‑time on‑site in Karachi and manage multiple deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with accounting software.
• Advanced skills in spreadsheets (e.g., Microsoft Excel).
• Familiarity with tax preparation and compliance tools.
