Team Leader - Production

About the role

As a Team Leader – Production at Nestlé’s Karachi factory, you will oversee daily production activities, ensuring smooth operations while maintaining the highest standards of product quality, safety, and hygiene. You will lead a technical team, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive continuous improvement in manufacturing processes.

Key responsibilities

• Deploy people development plans, provide training on equipment, safety, and hygiene.
• Enforce strict compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for all shift personnel.
• Maintain safe work practices and ensure clean, GMP‑compliant working areas.
• Monitor personnel hygiene, protective clothing, and hand‑wash protocols.
• Control line performance, take immediate corrective actions to meet quality specifications.
• Manage employee and industrial relations to ensure uninterrupted factory operations.
• Balance skill distribution to achieve production plans efficiently.
• Coordinate timely launch of new products with the business unit.
• Oversee maintenance of installations in partnership with quality, engineering, and administration.
• Facilitate inter‑departmental coordination for effective planning execution.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering.
• 1‑2 years of experience in a technical role, preferably with filling machines in food or consumer‑goods manufacturing.
• Exposure to fixed‑assets maintenance, budget control, TPM, and preventive maintenance planning.
• Supervisory experience managing technical teams, contractors, or suppliers.
• Participation in small engineering improvement projects as part of multidisciplinary teams.
