Team Leader – QC & STS (Maintenance)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Team Leader to oversee quality control (QC) and safety (STS) activities for maintenance operations at our Port Qasim facility. You will plan, coordinate, and ensure safe execution of preventive, corrective, and predictive maintenance on heavy equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and execute preventive, breakdown, and corrective maintenance to minimize downtime.
• Ensure maintenance follows manufacturer guidelines and achieves equipment KPIs.
• Communicate safety alerts, enforce JSA and work‑permit requirements, and promote a strong safety culture.
• Maintain accurate daily maintenance records, close job sheets, and update maintenance software/tools.
• Coordinate with Operations for equipment availability and provide regular progress updates.
• Supervise team performance, enforce discipline, identify training needs, and manage contractors for critical repairs.
• Assess and recommend spare parts, tools, and equipment while ensuring compliance with OH&S regulations and SOPs.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering (HEC or university attested).
• 8–10 years of hands‑on maintenance experience with heavy equipment, cranes, RTGs, and automotive systems.
• Strong knowledge of preventive and predictive maintenance practices.
• Good understanding of health and safety regulations and their enforcement.
• Excellent problem‑solving, analytical, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with IBM Maximo maintenance management system.
