Trainee Technologist Program – Pathology & Laboratory Medicine

About the role

The Aga Khan University Hospital offers a one‑year Trainee Technologist Program focused on Pathology and Laboratory Medicine. Selected candidates will rotate through multiple laboratory sections, gaining hands‑on experience in both campus and outreach labs across Pakistan.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in bench‑side training across Transfusion Medicine, Hematology, POCT, Clinical Chemistry, Clinical Microbiology, Histopathology and Molecular Pathology.
• Attend classroom lectures and seminars to complement practical learning.
• Work rotating shifts (morning, evening, night) as required by service needs.
• Collaborate with senior technologists and faculty in diagnostic and research activities.

Required profile

• Four‑year BS in Medical Laboratory Technology/Science (MLT/MLS); a Master’s degree is preferred.
• First Division or CGPA ≥ 3.0/4.0 (or equivalent) with graduation between 2024‑2026.
• Willingness to be transferred to any section, region, or location as needed.
• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
