About the role
The National Bank of Pakistan seeks a senior finance professional to lead the GL Control unit in Karachi. Reporting to the Wing Head, the role focuses on ensuring accurate general ledger balancing and validation across the bank.
Key responsibilities
- Liaise with internal stakeholders to collect data for GL balancing and validation.
- Review and analyze reasons for non‑balancing and non‑validation of GLs.
- Prepare action plans for remediation and escalate high‑priority matters.
- Analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual MIS reports related to GL balancing.
Required profile
- Minimum graduation; ACCA, ICMA, or CA part‑qualified preferred.
- At least 6 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in a financial institution or audit firm.
- Hands‑on experience with GL accounts.
- Strong business acumen, analytical and report‑writing skills.
Required skills
- Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Basic knowledge of Power BI.
- Detail‑oriented with high accuracy.
