Unit Head – Infrastructure (AVP / VP)

About the role

The Unit Head – Infrastructure will lead the BI & Analytics data platform division, shaping strategy, ensuring scalability, reliability and cost efficiency of the infrastructure supporting data and analytics workloads.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and execute a comprehensive infrastructure strategy for the BI & Analytics data platform division.
• Collaborate with data engineering and BI teams to align infrastructure with business needs and recommend new technologies.
• Lead capacity planning, performance tuning and security management for database systems and platforms.
• Oversee monitoring, optimization, high‑availability and disaster recovery solutions for data warehouse, big data and cloud services.
• Manage vendor relationships, SLAs and lifecycle activities such as patching and version upgrades.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation in Computer Science, IT, Software Engineering or related field; Masters preferred.
• At least 6 years of experience in banking/fintech or related sectors, with 3 years in IT infrastructure or database administration.
• Proven experience managing enterprise data warehouse, big data and cloud data platforms.

Required skills

• Database performance tuning, capacity planning and high‑availability architecture.
• Cloud infrastructure (IaaS/PaaS), Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Data platform technologies: Hadoop/Cloudera, Teradata, Oracle, Linux, VMware.
• FinOps (vendor and cloud cost management), backup/recovery, disaster recovery and security best practices.
