Urdu Quality Assurance Lead (Remote)

About the role

We are looking for an Urdu Quality Assurance Lead to oversee the quality and consistency of AI‑generated Urdu training data. This remote, contract position will guide a distributed team of trainers and reviewers, ensuring that all output meets linguistic and cultural standards.

Key responsibilities

• Review AI‑generated Urdu content and trainer work against detailed project rubrics.
• Provide precise written feedback in English, highlighting issues such as grammar, spelling, tone, cultural appropriateness, formatting, and hallucinated claims.
• Identify recurring quality problems and communicate updates to trainers, QAs, and project managers.
• Support onboarding of new contributors and maintain up‑to‑date documentation.
• Monitor contributor activity, reactivate inconsistent workers, and help maintain a high‑performing remote team.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Urdu, Linguistics, Translation, Communications, Journalism, English, Education, Quality Assurance or a related field.
• Native or near‑native proficiency in Urdu (reading and writing) and strong command of English.
• Minimum 3 years of professional experience in Urdu writing, editing, translation, localization, content QA, AI training, annotation or similar language‑review workflows.
• Deep knowledge of Urdu grammar, spelling, punctuation, tone, register, Nastaliq script conventions and right‑to‑left formatting.
• Experience leading or supporting remote teams of trainers, annotators, reviewers or QAs is strongly preferred.
