USA Taxation Accountant

About the role

The USA Taxation Accountant will manage tax compliance for key clients, ensuring accurate federal and state filings and supporting strategic financial decisions. This full‑time position works in a hybrid remote setting based in Karachi, collaborating with internal finance teams and clients.

Key responsibilities

• Manage US federal and state tax compliance for assigned client accounts.
• Prepare, review, and file individual, corporate, and partnership tax returns.
• Maintain up‑to‑date financial and tax records in QuickBooks Online/Desktop.
• Analyze client data to ensure accurate tax calculations and reporting.
• Provide advisory support on tax planning, deductions, credits, and reporting improvements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to align tax data with accounting and financial reporting.
• Identify tax risks, opportunities, and process improvements.
• Support senior management with tax summaries, forecasts, and audit documentation.

Required profile

• ACCA, CPA, or a degree in Accounting, Finance, or Taxation (preferred).
• Proven experience in US taxation, including preparation and review of federal and state returns.
• Familiarity with US GAAP and IRS regulations.
• Experience working with US‑based clients in sectors such as healthcare, technology, or finance.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving, and organizational abilities.
• Excellent communication and client management skills in a virtual environment.

Required skills

• QuickBooks Online/Desktop (reconciliations, journal entries, tax reporting).
• Advanced Microsoft Excel.
• Tax or reporting tools such as Drake, ProConnect, or Power BI.
