Web Developer / AI Integration Specialist for Personalized Cartoon Book Platform

About the role

We are a fast‑growing German publishing company building an innovative digital platform that lets users create personalized cartoon‑style books from their own photos and text. We need an experienced freelance developer or small technical team to turn our early prototype into a stable, scalable web application.

Key responsibilities

• Improve or redevelop the current web‑based cartoon book editor.
• Integrate, optimise, or recommend AI image‑generation workflows.
• Ensure character and style consistency across generated pages.
• Build and refine user flows for photo upload, text editing, page preview and final review.
• Implement editable text overlay as a separate layer on generated pages.
• Enhance frontend usability, responsiveness and mobile experience.
• Support backend logic, data handling, image processing and storage.
• Advise on technical architecture, tools, AI models and future scalability.

Required profile

• Proven experience in full‑stack web development.
• Strong background in AI‑driven image generation and image processing.
• Ability to work independently and contribute ideas for long‑term product growth.
