Wing Head - Fixed Assets Accounting (VP)

About the role

The National Bank of Pakistan seeks an experienced professional to lead Fixed Assets Accounting as Wing Head (VP) in Karachi. This senior position reports to the Divisional Head - SBP Reporting & General Accounting and is responsible for overseeing all aspects of fixed asset management.

Key responsibilities

• Review Fixed Assets Management System (FAMS) records for additions, deletions, transfers, disposals and write‑offs.
• Monitor CWIP schedules, ensure timely capitalization of completed projects, and calculate accurate monthly depreciation and amortization.
• Process SAP entries for quarterly, half‑yearly and annual closing, including disposals.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual MIS reports on fixed assets for financial reporting and budgeting.
• Coordinate with internal/external auditors, statutory bodies and ITG for system enhancements and IFRS 16 compliance.

Required profile

• Minimum graduation or equivalent; ACCA, CA or ICMA preferred.
• At least 8 years of finance/accounting experience, preferably in a financial institution or audit firm.
• Hands‑on experience with fixed assets accounting is preferred.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
• Basic knowledge of Power BI.
• Experience with SAP fixed‑asset modules.
