Accountant – Lahore, Pakistan

About the role

We are looking for a diligent Accountant to join our finance team in Lahore. You will be responsible for processing supplier invoices, maintaining vendor accounts, and supporting month‑end and year‑end close activities while ensuring compliance with company policies and IFRS standards.

Key responsibilities

• Process, validate and post supplier invoices accurately and timely.
• Review invoices, purchase orders and tax documentation for compliance.
• Manage vendor accounts, resolve invoice and payment discrepancies, and respond to supplier inquiries.
• Support month‑end and year‑end close, including journal entries, accruals and general ledger reconciliations.
• Maintain accurate financial records and ensure adherence to IFRS, internal controls and corporate governance.
• Contribute to process optimisation and continuous‑improvement projects across the MEA region.
• Partner with cross‑functional stakeholders to support audits, financial reporting and ad‑hoc accounting projects.
• Deliver high‑quality service by meeting SLAs, preserving data accuracy and confidentiality.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in commerce, business administration, accounting, finance or a related field.
• Chartered Accountant qualification (full or partial) or an equivalent professional accounting credential.
• Mandatory knowledge of SAP.
• Experience in multinational organisations or shared‑service environments is an advantage.
• Excellent communication, analytical and critical‑thinking abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with remote international teams.
