Accounting Specialist – Inventory & Fixed Assets

About the role

The Accounting Specialist will implement and execute inventory and fixed‑asset strategies, policies, and controls in partnership with Territory Supply Chain teams. The role ensures that all inventories and assets are accurately recorded, physically verified, and managed according to company guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Implement SOPs and controls to safeguard company assets and inventories.
• Conduct daily, weekly and monthly stock counts of finished goods, raw materials, stores and spares, compare with system reports, and resolve discrepancies.
• Post inventory adjustments in the system after physical verification and required approvals.
• Perform physical verification of all fixed assets in the territory, identify differences versus the fixed‑asset register, and ensure proper tagging.
• Support preparation and follow‑up of insurance claims, coordinating with surveyors, head‑office control team and insurers.
• Oversee gate operations, ensuring authorized movements of assets, inventories and scrap, and maintain zero non‑compliance with labor laws.
• Coordinate with warehouse teams to resolve issues promptly and report to Territory Supply Chain leadership.
• Assist with month‑end closing entries, including production, component postings, GRNs and store issuances.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or Management.
• 2–4 years of relevant experience.
• Professional certifications such as CMA, CPA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent are desirable.
