Analyst, Financial Planning & Analysis

About the role

Zones, a global IT solutions provider, is looking for a skilled Analyst in Financial Planning & Analysis to support its growth initiatives. You will partner with multiple functions, including sales, operations, marketing, legal, and senior leadership, to deliver data‑driven insights and timely financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial models and data‑mining tools for variance analysis.
• Collaborate with business units and the Accounting team to produce consolidation‑level P&L reports.
• Conduct variance analysis on actuals versus forecasts and deliver actionable insights.
• Assist the financial reporting team during month‑end close to ensure accuracy and completeness.
• Prepare external board materials and other deliverables.
• Support ad‑hoc projects as needed.

Required profile

• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset across cross‑functional teams.
• Ability to work independently and apply sound judgment in decision‑making.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel proficiency, including complex formulas and large data sets.
• Knowledge of VBA scripting (considered an asset).
• Experience with financial modeling and variance analysis.
• Familiarity with P&L reporting and month‑end close processes.
