Android Developer (Junior, Kotlin, Mobile Apps)

About the role

We are looking for a hands‑on Junior Android Developer to join our team in Lahore. You will work with Kotlin, modern Jetpack libraries and clean architecture to deliver reliable mobile applications from UI to backend integration.

Key responsibilities

• Design and implement new features and screens using Kotlin, Jetpack Compose or XML Views, and MVVM/Clean patterns.
• Integrate REST APIs with Retrofit/OkHttp, manage offline caching with Room, and schedule background work via WorkManager.
• Write unit and UI tests (JUnit, MockK, Espresso) and enforce code quality with lint, Detekt and Ktlint.
• Optimize app performance, memory usage and startup time, and release confident builds through the Play Console.
• Participate in code reviews, sprint ceremonies and documentation of technical decisions.
• Monitor production health with Crashlytics and Analytics, and resolve issues quickly.

Required profile

• 2‑3 years of experience building Android applications in Kotlin (some Java interop acceptable).
• Strong understanding of Android SDK, Jetpack components (Lifecycle, ViewModel, Navigation, WorkManager) and either Compose or XML UI.
• Proficiency with Coroutines, Flow or RxJava, Retrofit, OkHttp, Room and Git.
• Familiarity with MVVM or Clean Architecture, dependency injection (Hilt/Dagger) and modular project structures.
• Good communication skills, ownership mindset and a collaborative attitude.
