Artificial Intelligence Engineer

About the role

MuzTech is seeking an Artificial Intelligence Engineer who enjoys solving complex problems, learning new technologies, and delivering real products. The position is full‑time, onsite in Lahore, and involves working across AI‑powered applications, data pipelines, backend services, and enterprise platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Develop AI‑driven applications using large language models (LLMs) and modern AI tooling.
• Design, implement, and maintain backend APIs and micro‑services.
• Build and operate data ingestion, processing, and vector‑search pipelines.
• Contribute to cloud‑native and internal automation tools.
• Collaborate with product, data, and engineering teams in a fast‑paced environment.

Required profile

• Practical experience of 1–3 years in software engineering or AI development.
• Comfortable with rapid context switching between product, data, backend, and AI tasks.
• Ability to use AI tools daily while validating and improving generated code.

Required skills

• Strong Python fundamentals and clean, reusable code practices.
• Object‑oriented programming, design patterns, and software design principles.
• REST API development with FastAPI, Django, Flask or similar frameworks.
• Asynchronous programming and background task processing.
• Understanding of LLMs, prompt engineering, and Retrieval‑Augmented Generation (RAG).
• Experience with LLM APIs (OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, etc.).
• SQL, relational schema design, and efficient query writing (PostgreSQL preferred).
• NoSQL databases such as MongoDB.
• Vector databases (pgvector, Pinecone, Weaviate, FAISS, Chroma).
