Assistant Professor – Islamic Studies

About the role

Riphah International University seeks a dedicated Assistant Professor specializing in Islamic Studies to join its academic faculty in Islamabad. The successful candidate will teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses, conduct scholarly research, and contribute to curriculum development.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver lectures and instructional sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate Islamic Studies courses, covering Quranic Studies, Hadith Literature, and Islamic Jurisprudence.
• Conduct original research and publish articles in HEC‑recognized journals.
• Assist in designing, updating, and enhancing the curriculum to ensure academic relevance and quality.
• Supervise student research projects, providing guidance on methodology and academic inquiry.
• Participate actively in departmental meetings, academic events, and institutional development activities.
• Provide academic advising and mentoring to support student growth and success.

Required profile

• Ph.D. in Islamic Studies or a closely related field from a recognized institution.
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level, preferably in Islamic Studies.
• Strong record of scholarly research and publications.
• Ability to contribute to curriculum development and academic program improvement.
• Commitment to academic mentoring and student development.
