Audit Associate – Remote (Karachi)

About the role

We are looking for a meticulous Audit Associate to support our global operations from Karachi. The role is fully remote and offers the chance to work with diverse industries, applying international audit standards and cutting‑edge tools.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and executing audit engagements, ensuring compliance with professional standards.
• Prepare and review working papers, financial statements, and related disclosures.
• Perform substantive testing and analytical procedures to identify risks and misstatements.
• Collaborate with senior auditors and managers to resolve complex audit and technical accounting issues.
• Communicate with client personnel to gather information and clarify audit findings.
• Document audit findings, recommendations, and conclusions clearly.
• Utilise auditing software and other technological tools to improve efficiency.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of audit processes and stay updated on industry trends.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field, or a professional certification (e.g., ACCA, CA, CPA – part‑qualified).
• 1‑3 years of progressive audit experience, preferably with exposure to IFRS/IAS.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for interaction with global teams and clients.
• Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy.
• Proven ability to manage time, meet strict deadlines, and handle multiple assignments.

Required skills

• Proficiency with auditing software.
• Knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and International Auditing Standards (IAS).
