Business Communication & Spoken English Trainer

About the role

Meraki-IT is seeking a Business Communication & Spoken English Trainer to work directly with its development teams. The role focuses on elevating engineers' English speaking and writing abilities so they can communicate ideas clearly, participate confidently in meetings, and present professionally to clients.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver training programs that improve spoken English fluency, pronunciation, and confidence.
• Coach developers on business communication skills such as email etiquette, stand‑ups, client calls, presentations, and documentation.
• Conduct group workshops and one‑on‑one sessions tailored to individual proficiency levels.
• Assess current communication levels across teams and build a structured curriculum for a technical workplace.
• Create practical, scenario‑based material (role‑plays, mock client calls) instead of generic textbook content.
• Track learner progress, provide feedback to participants and management, and help foster a culture where speaking English is comfortable.

Required profile

• Proven experience teaching or training spoken English and business communication, preferably to professionals.
• Strong command of English, both spoken and written.
• Ability to simplify concepts and adapt teaching style to different proficiency levels.
• Engaging, practical teaching approach that holds the attention of busy technical staff.
• Familiarity with a tech or IT environment is a plus, but not mandatory.
• Relevant qualifications (TEFL, TESOL, CELTA, linguistics, communication) are welcome but not required if hands‑on experience is solid.
