Chinese Chef – Full-time, Lahore

About the role

The company is seeking a full‑time Chinese Chef to join its Lahore kitchen. You will be responsible for preparing authentic Chinese dishes while maintaining the restaurant’s standards for taste, presentation and hygiene.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and cook a variety of Chinese dishes using wok, stir‑fry, steaming and sauce‑making techniques.
• Manage mise en place, monitor ingredient quality and ensure portion control.
• Coordinate with kitchen staff during peak service periods to maintain efficiency.
• Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation and workstation cleanliness.
• Contribute to menu refinement and suggest new dish ideas.
• Support training of junior kitchen team members and follow SOPs to minimise waste.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in Chinese cuisine, including wok cooking, stir‑frying, steaming and sauce/stock preparation.
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation standards and kitchen hygiene practices.
• Experience working in high‑volume restaurant environments and handling busy service periods.
• Ability to follow and standardise recipes while maintaining quality and consistency.
• Good communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a fast‑paced team.
• Formal culinary training or certification in Asian/Chinese cuisine is an advantage.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends and holidays.
