Commercial Systems Engineer

About the role

Flipdish is looking for a Commercial Systems Engineer to join its Commercial team. You will work on high‑impact product areas such as Google Business Profiles and Managed Marketing, building tools that directly drive revenue and operational efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build, deploy, and maintain internal tools that support commercial products, operations and growth initiatives.
• Automate sales, onboarding, partnership and marketing processes to enable scaling without additional headcount.
• Leverage AI tooling (Claude Code, Cursor, Vercel, LLM APIs) to accelerate development and unlock new capabilities.
• Deploy and operate services on AWS, handling the full lifecycle from local development to production, including monitoring and incident response.
• Create dashboards and instrumentation to track adoption and tie engineering output to measurable commercial outcomes.
• Own problems end‑to‑end: scope, ship, iterate, and retire solutions that no longer add value.
• Constructively challenge decisions and propose better ways of working.

Required profile

• 4+ years of software engineering experience, preferably with a MERN stack in production.
• Proven experience shipping and operating products on AWS.
• Fluency in AI‑assisted engineering tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Vercel, and LLM APIs.
• Ability to measure and demonstrate the commercial impact of shipped tools.
