DevOps Engineer

About the role

The DevOps Engineer will design, build and maintain secure, scalable AWS infrastructure that supports Eon’s patient‑management platform. You will work closely with development and operations teams to automate deployments, monitor performance and ensure high availability.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain high‑performance AWS solutions using services such as EC2, S3, ECS, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM and CloudFormation.
• Automate infrastructure provisioning and configuration with Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, logging and alerting for production workloads.
• Troubleshoot performance, availability and security issues across Linux and Windows environments.
• Conduct capacity planning, performance analysis and cost optimisation of AWS resources.
• Evaluate and integrate third‑party tools and services to enhance the cloud stack.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related field.
• At least 2 years of hands‑on experience with AWS services and infrastructure automation.
• Experience building and troubleshooting Docker containers.
• Familiarity with cybersecurity compliance standards such as SOC 2, HIPAA and CIS Benchmarks.

Required skills

• AWS core services (EC2, ECS, S3, RDS, Lambda, VPC, IAM, CloudFormation).
• Infrastructure as Code tools – Terraform, CloudFormation.
• Containerisation – Docker.
• Python programming, especially boto3 SDK.
• Linux/Windows system administration.
• Networking concepts – DNS, load balancing, SSL.
• Security best practices and compliance.
