Director of Academic Excellence – Remote

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary leader to shape and operationalize its evidence‑based learning model that enables students to achieve accelerated outcomes within a two‑hour daily window. This remote, senior position will drive academic strategy, ensure rigorous standards, and act as the public face of the movement worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Design academic frameworks that translate learning science into concrete guidance for curriculum, motivation architecture, and application development.
• Conduct execution reviews with Heads of Academics to maintain alignment, accountability, and high performance across school sites.
• Integrate data, stakeholder interviews, and observations into ecosystem assessments to identify obstacles and recommend targeted interventions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning cycles, feedback mechanisms, and milestone management focused on learning outcomes.
• Serve as the principal external representative, delivering keynote presentations and engaging with ministries of education to promote systemic transformation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (Master’s or Ph.D.) in Learning Science, Educational Psychology, Instructional Design, or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of experience in academic leadership or EdTech, with a proven record of measurable impact.
• Demonstrated ability to communicate publicly about academic achievements and evidence‑based practices.
• Strong leadership style that is direct, visible, and results‑oriented.
