Director of Academics – Remote (2 Hour Learning)

About the role

2 Hour Learning is seeking a visionary Director of Academics to lead the implementation of its accelerated learning system worldwide. The role is fully remote and responsible for turning proven learning science into operational excellence across partner schools.

Key responsibilities

• Design and institutionalize academic structures that translate learning‑science research into curriculum, motivation frameworks, and digital applications.
• Partner with Heads of Academics to monitor performance, ensure alignment with outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct comprehensive ecosystem evaluations using data analysis, stakeholder interviews, and classroom observations to identify barriers to rapid learning and propose actionable solutions.
• Maintain strategic coherence through planning, feedback loops, and progress tracking focused on student achievement.
• Represent 2 Hour Learning publicly, delivering keynote presentations and consulting with ministries of education to promote the accelerated learning model.

Required profile

• Proven track record of building and scaling academic programs that deliver measurable learning gains.
• Experience leading cross‑functional teams in an operational, results‑oriented environment.
• Strong ability to communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse external audiences.
• Demonstrated capacity to set standards, diagnose performance gaps, and implement high‑impact solutions.
