Educational Counselor – International Student Advisor

About the role

Pathways Global Education Pvt. Ltd. in Lahore is seeking an Educational Counselor to guide students through the entire study‑abroad journey. You will act as the primary advisor, assessing student profiles, recommending suitable programmes and universities, and overseeing the application process from start to finish.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct one‑on‑one consultations to evaluate academic background, career goals, language proficiency and financial considerations.
• Recommend appropriate courses, universities and destination countries based on each student’s profile.
• Assist with document preparation, statement‑of‑purpose review, application submission and tracking of admission status.
• Provide visa interview preparation, review supporting documentation and deliver pre‑departure orientations covering accommodation, culture and compliance.
• Maintain accurate CRM records of consultations, application milestones and follow‑up actions.
• Communicate clearly with students and parents, explaining procedures, timelines and costs.
• Convert inquiries into confirmed applicants while adhering to ethical advisory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Counseling, Business or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in education counseling, university placement or student recruitment.
• Strong knowledge of international higher‑education systems and major destinations (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, EU).
• Familiarity with student visa requirements and interview preparation.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills in English.

Required skills

• Proficiency with CRM systems to track leads and application stages.
• Experience using application platforms for document submission and review.
