About the role
This is a broad, hands‑on generalist HR position based in Islamabad, acting as the senior HR presence for BoS and supporting the UK offices of the Aetheria Group. You will lead a local HR team, advise managers on people matters, and ensure HR processes meet both Pakistani and UK regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Lead, develop and supervise a team of HR officers and associates, setting standards for casework quality, record‑keeping and turnaround.
- Advise managers on employee relations, handling informal discussions through to formal disciplinary, grievance, capability and absence processes.
- Run end‑to‑end casework, maintaining accurate records that can withstand audit and regulatory scrutiny.
- Draft, review and maintain HR policies, ensuring legal soundness and usability for non‑HR managers.
- Support recruitment, onboarding and pre‑employment vetting, applying safer recruitment principles for work with children and young people.
- Maintain personnel records and HR data to audit‑ready standards.
- Contribute to group HR projects, including design of HR workflows in internal systems.
Required profile
- Associate CIPD (Level 5) or equivalent qualification, or progressing towards it.
- Degree in HR management, business administration, law or related field.
- Minimum five years of generalist HR experience, including at least two years of independent employee‑relations casework.
- Proven line‑management experience of HR staff with a record of raising quality standards.
- Strong knowledge of Pakistani employment law (Industrial and Commercial Employment Ordinance, Shops and Establishments Ordinance, EOBI, Protection Against Harassment Act).
- Good understanding of English employment law as it applies to HR practice.
- Excellent written and spoken English for drafting policies, investigation reports and correspondence.
- Sound judgement, discretion and ability to handle confidential information.
- Legal right to work in Pakistan.
